Best Internet Security Software out there today?

Which one is the best one to buy? I need top notche antivirus and spyware protections. I don't want any BS software that works have the time. What is absolute best software out there? I download alot of programs so i need something that can shred through even the toughest virus's..thankx

We've tried Nortons, McAfee, Trendmicro, and Kaspersky. Kaspersky seems to be the best.

In my experience, Symantec's suite (Norton) uses too many resources (memory, hard drive, and network) for what it's intended to do. I like to keep my security software suite utilizing low resources in the background.

I've personally found AVG's solutions to work very well for my business and personal PC's. My business machines are up 24/7/365 with nary an issue. I've ready many good things about Kapersky so I wouldn't rule them out if I were in the market for new software.

All three products have free trials so it doesn't hurt to try them out for yourself.
Bitdefender Total Security or Kaspersky Internet Security
Norton, McAfee, or for Windows the best would probably be Windows Live OneCare. Those are the top three that come to mind for me.
