Vista - Windows defender, should i remove it ??

hi, Vista has got windows defender but if I want to use some antivirus software shouldn't I uninstall it ? If i hav win defender and antivirus it could cause conflict ,right??

How can I "safely" disable or remove windows defender?? Again I want use Norton , Nod32 or Panda and don't want any crushes or missing dll

Windows defender is a poor anti spyware program it cannot be removed from Vista - however alot of people turn it off because of its poor performace %26 the fact it slows down Vista - windows defender is known to have updating problems which give users of vista more headaches.

How to disable defender in vista click start in the box above start type msconfig you will get a pop up click startup tab unclick Windows defender restart your PC you will get a popup when it restarts tick dont show again.

You can only run one AV - I would go with Nod32 is the best.

You can run as many anti spyware as you want they wont conflict with your AV.
