My Computer has been by this virus for one whole week. I ran Symantec Antivirus scan and it kept going on for 8 hours without removing the virus compleltely. Please tell me which Antivirus Software should i use.

I have 2 suggestions.
1, click start, run and type in MRT then hit ok.
this is the microsoft malicious software removal tool, it has the w32/virut virus in it's data base.

Almost all the free online virus scan will do scans of your computer only. To remove the varmints you have to buy their products. So first thing you do is shutdown your computer, use a friends computer to download one of the trials softwares available:
free.grisoft.com
www.kaspersky.com
to name a few. This tools will scan and remove any virii in your computer. Afterwhich, do a complete scan again to be sure.
