Internet Security vs Anti virus?

What is the difference between internet security software and antivirus software?

And is there any that you would recommend?

Internet Security vs Anti virus?free antivirus

Internet security software is a term for a suite of applications that often include antivirus, firewall, spyware and privacy protection pieces.

antivirus software is only a small piece of what you need.

What operating system are you looking to protect? You can either buy a suite of products or look for free versions of the software on the Internet.

I have used http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/per... Internet Security Suite as well as free software programs such as:

Antivirus:

http://free.grisoft.com

Anti-spyware:

Windows Defender

Spybot S%26D (http://www.spybot.info)

Firewall

Windows built in

Zonealarm (registration required) http://www.zonelabs.com

There are lots of others. Do a yahoo search on each item and you can build a pretty good list. If you need more information let me know.

They both work hand in hand internet security is basically a firewall and anti virus keeps you free from viruses worms Trojans etc you should really should have both and symantec has a very nice package you can get http://www.symantec.com/
Security software bundles a whole bunch of crap into one, such antivirus, antispyware, pop up blocker etc, these programs are usually not as good as the stand alone programs. Here are a list of free antivirus, and antispyware http://www.basicspywaretips.com/freeviru...
norton uses this..dont get norton.....best is kaspersky
