Vista - software that was installed half way -can't uninstall?

I have vista installed and tried to install photoshop 7.0.1 and it installed half way I mean it apperas that it is installed but i cannot run it and what is even worse i can't remove it !

It's probably cause 7.0.1 is not suitable for Vista but why can't I remove it. when I try to it says that log file 'uninst.isu' is not valid or corrupted. Uninstalation will not continue.

I have the same problems with LiveUpdate 1.7 symantec (corporate edition) It also installed half way when I try to uninstall it it says that I'm not authorized to remove it.

you know what's it like when you remove antivirus software not in a right way, you always leave some parts or sth that you need is just missing and you realize you've got even bigger problems. I want to install uptodate antivirus software but I was thibking about Panda. Since I've got norton installed there will be conflict between those two.

How can I remove it safely so everything would work correctly without crushes and alike.

You need to fully install the software then you will be able to delete it via normal means. Most often software can only be removed when your system registers its existance and this happens right at the end of the installation process.
try restoring your system back to a later date...this will probably solve your problem...hope this helps!
