Should I get the FULL internet security software or just the regular antivirus software? Cost is not relevant. If you do suggest I go w/ the basic Kaspersky antivirus ( NOT the full internet security) what other protection programs should I run w/ it to ensure maximum security? Spyware, malware, etc.

As a security professional I always recommend that a user go with a reliable vendor and invest in the entire suite.
This way you know you are getting complete updates, you have one program to configure, it is easier to learn one program especially for the average user.
You definitely want to have the protection from antivirus, firewall, antisypware, etc... and keep your OS updated with windows updates as well. This with common sense and safe browsing habits are key.

Most of the viruses people get come from 2 actions they do on their computer.
#1 Browsing with Internet Explorer as their browser. This browser is a spyware, adware magnet and you should never use it. Instead use Mozilla firefox.
#2 The second way people get viruses is by using outlook express or any email program that downloads email to their computer. YOU SHOULD NEVER do this. Instead use Yahoo.com free email or hotmail.com as the email stays on their server and no viruses come to you.
When I did those 2 things I haven't had a problem for years since I did that. The best antivirus is ANTIVIR and its free.
