my computer is an IBM T60 thinkpad and i have the AVG 7.5 antivirus software. It detected the Trojan horse flooder.BBG virus at: C:\IBMTOOLS\APPS\IBM_JRE\ SETUP. exe
the software cant clean this infected file but only deletes it! Can i please know whether it will be a problem if this file is deleted?
Will it prevent the computer from restarting once i shut it down?
How can i get the file cleaned?
Virus detected!?virus protection
delete it and re-download the tools from ibm if you need them
but even if you dont download them, i doubt it'd cause any problems
Virus detected!?agv
download KillBox, it's free
let AVG deleat it thats what it's there for! You did everything right! Bravo! You'll be fine! In the future if you have a virus that AVG can't deleat what you do is use AVG to find the file name then do a search for the file once you find it in search you change the name of the file then you'll be able to deleat it!
Delete it and nothing will happen other than removing the virus but you will loose the setup file for the tools of IBM if it is already installed go and delete it.
Good Luck
