Follow there 3 basic rules for best computer security.

1. Always use only one anti-virus.

2. Always use only one firewall.

3. Always use at least 2 anti-spyware programs.

The most important rule is #1. Using 2 (or more, ugh!) A-Vs can cause major conflicts when 2 scan engines fight over which one gets to scan any file that you read, write, or execute. This leaves you with LESS protection, not more! And cause big computer slowdowns.

you don't need so many Antivirus Software's but you should examin each to see what they cover: Antivirus, Antispyware, Internet Worm Protection, Rootkit Detection, Online identity protection, Antiphishing, Two way firewall etc. which ever one give you the most protection go with it. ...I recommend Norton 360

For your information you can only run one antivirus program or you will have serious conflict with your system. You can use two or three antispyware without conflict.

Sounds to me by your question that you have more then one antiviurs program installed. You need to remove one or not renew McAfee if it is an antivirus program.
