no u have to use an antivirus.system restore will just restore ur computer in the previous vulnerable state when was exploited by the virus.also some viruses are able to even infect the image that the system restore use.

use an antivirus to remove the virus and u will be fine

I would check into Norton first...it's about the best you can get. That should do the job. If not then resort to a full back up and restore.

AVG has a free limited version of Virus protection, go to www.download.com and search on AVG Free. system restore is a harsh remedy for a "possible" virus
I personally like OneCare from Microsoft. It can be expensive, but get it on sale, and It's like $10. Thats what I got It for.
