i really like the look of macs and tat they are virtually immune to viruses

they look better and have a camera and suit my needs also

so i was looking at some macs at curcuit city online and apparently the cheapest iss 999$?!?

but then i thought about it

i have heard that vista is buggy not only that but is incompatable with some older softwares and hardwares

so when you factor in the cost of the cpu alone for a windows vista computer the screen the printer keyboard/mouse and all the antivirus software and spyware stuff would it really be much cheaper ot get a pc or a mac

i am asking for one of these for my birthday so i need to have some great facts and other things to even convince my dad of considering the option

also what mp3 players (excluding ipod) work well with a mac?

It really depends on what you want a computer for ,gaming,business,music,video ,etc.Macs have a limited amount of software but that is getting a little better ,Windows have everything and anything available.Macs are more stable and secure but they cost a little more.Historically, Macs have not been very compatible with Windows computers but that is not really a issue these days.Microsoft does make a version of Office for Macs and since Macs started using Intel processors they can use Windows software using Parallels desktop for Mac.Overall in my opinion the Mac is a far better computer and if you really know your facts there fairly close in price and can use most Windows software these days.OS X ,Macs operating system is probably the best in the world.
